Well... being the wonderful kids that we are :) haha We decided for Mother's Day,

Father's Day, and both of their birthdays we would give Mom and Dad the new porch they have been wanting and a new front room. Demolition of the new porch began this last week.

JACK HAMMERER'S I have ever seen... Oh ya, Michelle was pretty good herself. She even has the bruise on her arm to prove it.

Lyndsey was in charge of the yard sign's. We had to let all of Dad's medical team (nurse, physical therapist) and any visitors know not to try and climb the pile of rubble. I know NICE right? We are like that you know.

The next day we framed and began pouring.

Do you like how I keep saying "WE".... hey I went and picked up the cement trailer's and I was on picture duty also. I know I was a GREAT help to those boys, I kept them laughing the whole time. I will admit, at some times I'm sure they wanted to whack me over the head with their shovel... but they refrained :)

As you can see, Michelle was the supervisor. She made sure and let Jim know exactly were he needed to chisel more, add more cement, smooth it out better, etc. He surely appreciated her words of advice.

I love the pencil behind the ear... UH Jimmy, what were you writing on exactly? You should have had a shovel in your hand the whole time.

Mike and Corey did a lovely job of plastering. Man those boys have some skills, knowing how soft to rub, how hard to rub, where to rub, what direction to rub........

I got a little fluttered there and carried away :)

Here is the finished project.... minus the railing that will be installed this week.
I will post that later with the demolition of the front room!!! Yeah!!!

Also, a thanks to Nathaniel for being able to jump start Jimmy's truck and help pick up cement with me, to Breckyn and Cole for being our little gophers when we needed drinks or tools, to the makers of lawn chairs for Dad to be able to sit outside and watch us, to the wonderful cooking of Mom and for feeding us nightly, for Cherelle, Kaila, and Hillary for keeping us company on the front lawn, for Jayden for marrying such a wonderful man that will put up with our crazy family, to Mitch for having a wonderful friend like Taylor to help pour cement,to DeWalt for making such amazing Jack hammers, to Confab for reminding me that a Dodge truck should never be called a Chevy, and for the makers of COCA COLA for blessing my life with your taste :) and to the rest of you.... well thanks for your $$$$.

5 Months Later!!!

What???

It's only been 5 months since I posted last. That's not bad, right? I have had barely anytime to breathe, let alone blog.

Man, planning a wedding is hard work!! I don't ever want to do it again... Well, at least for a VERY LONG time. It kinda reminds me of going to the dentist to have a ROOT CANAL or like going in for that AMAZINGLY, WONDERFUL, yearly exam!!!

People aske me all the time if I am having so much fun planning this wedding........ Um let me think about that..........

Fun is not quite the word I would use.

The date was moved to May 6th... yep only 19 days. I hope I live that long :) Here are some of the engagements that I did. I will have to wait and post bridals after the wedding though. You know that GROOM seeing the BRIDE before the wedding whole thing.

Elder Peetie Hyde returned home safely to us from

Rome, Italy. Flight #529 at 7:44pm.

We were all at the airport anxiously awaiting his arrival. Wow!!! The emotions were so much more than I thought they would be.

All of the sudden, we could see him coming down the escalators through some glass walls. It was so amazing to see him for the first time in 2 years!!

Now although the sign in the picture below says "NO ENTRY"

that did NOT stop Michelle.

She was off on a dead run!!! We were all screaming NO MICHELLE... STOP!!!

But she couldn't hear us over her hysterical crying. Then out of nowhere a Security guard came running through the crowd and had to TASER her!! He then proceeded to tackle her to the ground.... all the time she is in a skirt!!!

Just kidding!! hahaha. She held herself back.

We all left the airport and were headed back home to Jim and Michelle's house to hand out and talk. Coming up over the bridge in Kaysville, this is what you saw.

And their street was amazing!!!!

It was so fun to listen to some of the stories that Brandon had to tell. Stay tuned for pictures of him in his MAFIA MASK!!!!!

NOW LET THE FUN BEGIN!!!!!!

We all headed back over the next day for some pool fun and playing. It was so much fun to be with him again!!! Oh we missed him!!

Then we heard sirens and military tanks coming down the street. We all ran out and there was this H-O-T soldier in the road asking for Lyndsey's hand in marriage!!! Can you believe it???? Well, don't I'm just kidding!! It was just Nate, stopping by on his was home from the guard.

Then to end our eventful day, it was time for Mom and Dad to go home. Mom just had surgery on her foot and cannot put any pressure on it for 6 weeks. Bless her heart!! haha. No really, this is Dad popping wheelies with her in her wheel chair. I'm sure you can imagine her screaming and yelling at him...

I told her that this would be great on my blog, just to enjoy the ride. She covered her eyes thinking no one would know it was her if I posted pictures........ YEAH, Like that helped.

The Homecoming on Sunday was GREAT!!!

Brandon did so good on his talk. He had everyone listening to his every word..... and YES the best part was when he bore his testimony in ITALIAN.

All the grandkids were amazed and listen to him. It was so neat.

We love you Peetie and are so glad that you choose to serve our Lord for 2 years. We are so excited to have you home and be able to do things with you again. And for the record..... WE ALL KNOW THAT I'M YOUR FAVORITE!!!!

Preference time.... and Jayden said she was NOT going. She didn't have anyone that she wanted to "WASTE" her money on. I tried to talk her into going, but no!! The dance is in 6 days. Oh well.

Then she came home from school and within 20 minutes she told me she was asking a boy named Will and did it!! We went and bought a shake at the new Iceburg in town..... whoot whoot, love it.... and attatched a sign that said

"How 'bout SHAKIN your booty with me at PREFERENCE?"

Then inside the shake we had placed her name at the bottom of the shake somewhere mixed in (in a secret little capsul).

Last night this was his reply.

Girls Weekend St George

Where to start, where to start.......

It was time for our annual "GIRLS TRIP" So we set off to St George, where Grandma, Aunt Mabes, and Sheila were waiting for us anxiously... like little kids waiting for Christmas..

Okay, we aren't that exciting, but close!!!

A few things you should be familiar with before reading..... Mary Catherine Gallager on SUPER STAR. And Bon Qui Qui from Mad TV King Burger. If not, you might want to You tube them...... FREAKIN HILARIOUS!!!

Our first stop DEMANDED by Andrea was Artic Circle.. now this was just the first of many. She hates it that there are no Artic Circles in Arizona, so when she is in Utah... we must go there every day!! When we got to the condo it was time to pick beds... Michelle quickly chose to sleep with me..... thseee lothses to thspoon with me!!! HAHA, just kidding Michelle, I only had to call SA CURRITY on her once.

Friday we went to Vegas. Boy was that fun. Mom and Grandam Great got pulled over for running a red light, (although I tell everyone that they got pulled over for prostitution). Right on the strip!! I know, I know. Dad thinks that the lovely officer must have had a moment of nostalgia and thought that it was 2 of the Golden Girls. Oh Dad!!! They did get away ticket-less though.

We went to the M&M factory, the Coke factory, Caesar's Palace, etc. Jayden and Lyndsey had never been there so it was fun. And we didn't even get kicked out of anywhere... AMAZING I know!!

Saturday was our shopping outing. Found great deals and had a blast, and ALMOST got kicked out the dressings rooms. Also, Michelle got in a fight with the sweet shoe salesman at Christensen's. And we were almost booted, but I was totally on his side, I screamed "SAAA CURRRITY. SA CURITY!!!!!" oh good times.

That night was Cafe Rio... bless the person that invented Cafe Rio!!!!! Bless You Bless You!!!!

Saturday night was time for our annual skit show. I'm not quite sure why we think that we are so funny putting on a show for 4 people!!! Grandma Great, Aunt Mabes, Uncle Dee, and Mom. But boy did they laugh their guts out. Now we promised each other that these pictures would not leave our trip, but I did edit a few so they were postable.

Wow!!!! we were worn out. Sunday afternoon....for some reason... not sure why yet, but we were going to go out and have a toe touch contest off of the cement wall. So as I was so quietly stretching out, Andrea decides to do a practice run off of the ottoman over my head. Ah Ya, she didn't make it over my head, she jumped ON MY HEAD!!!!

It's okay, don't be alarmed, I only suffered an almost bitten off tongue and a chipped bone in my neck!! No biggie. All is fine!

Sunday Brice came to dinner with us and that was so fun to see him. We also went to the St. George temple for a picture showing... Not really sure what it was called, but it was SUPER neat. After almost getting kicked off of the temple grounds we went and had a fun game night.

Oh the memories!!! We had a blast and can't wait to come again next year!!! Love you all!!

I called WONDER WOMAN on Saturday to chat with her about a few Christmas planning ideas and she was in the hustle and bustle of getting things ready for Halloween that night. She said that she was trying on a witch's costume for the 5 billionth year in a row. She said that her kids say that she is always a witch costume.

So I said "Steph, pull out your old cheer uniforms and throw one on. Your kids will think that you are freakin AWESOME!!"

She laughed at me......

WHAT??? What is the problem????

It's not like she still doesn't have the body of a 18 year old that we all dream of..... and YES especially ofter having 5 children!!

She's smokin' HOT I tell you!!

She said that she would think about it.... I told her that I better see some Halloween shots of her on her blog.

Well........still no shots, and I'm not sure what costume that she really wore, but I feel a little saddened that she thinks I should not see her in her CHEER uniform.

Wow my life has kinda felt like a whirlwind lately!!!

I think the end of my summer was CONSUMED with nothing but FOOTBALL!!!

We were a little nervous to let Breck play, but he begged, and I figured that I would rather have him out there with 20 other players that were just starting than wait a few years and let him play when everyone else had 2-3 years under their belt.

HE DID AMAZING!!! He has such a soft heart, so I was unsure of how he would be when coaches were yelling at him and other boys were tackling him. His coaches words were, "Denise, he is an ...ANIMAL, A MACHINE. He is the only kid I know that tackles, and tackles and still gets up with a huge smile on his face!"

He really was a little out of control. I thought that after 3 hours of practice everyday except Sunday and Monday, he would come home at night and crash.....NOPE!!!! Did not happen. He loves football, and we like it a little more than I thought we would. Although it took every night of my life for 2 months, I love it. I love seeing him in those cute little football pants, looking like a bobble head!!!

We did get to go up the canyon and see the BEAUTIFUL fall leaves.

Only about 1 day before the mountains were covered in snow!!

We had a fun family home evening driving up there with my mom and dad, and Michelle and Lyndsey. We ate dinner at a little camp ground. We were taking funny pictures and I told the girls to wink at me....

Well, just in case your wondering.... Michelle and Lyndsey CANNOT wink. This is their version.

There was this huge buffalo statue on the side of the road, so of course I made the girls go out and ride it. I told them I would pay them a dollar. Jayden freaked out after she saw a bug and would not help Lyndsey get on....poor Lyndsey, she was sad!!!

So that was a quick update on the end of our summer, into fall. There will be more to come, I promise.

Runaway to Washington

Wednesday night 6:00pm....... sitting in Mom's front room.

Mom: I'm so bored.... I want to do something fun this weekend.

Me: What else do you want to do? We are going shoe shopping on Friday.

Mom: I want to go see Shauna!!

Me: Well, then lets go!! There is no reason we can't.

Thursday morning 5:30am.......in the car, driving to WASHINGTON!!! WAHOO...we did it.

Thursday evening 6:00pm...standing on a porch in Hunters, WA hoping that it is Shauna's house.

Whew...it is!!

We had so much fun. It was so good to see Shauna and spend time with her and Brett. Keyera was instantly best friends with all the animals around, the chickens, the cats, the dog, and the horses LOVED her. They acted like little puppies that wanted to get on the ground and roll around with her.

Okay....so for my lovely story of the horses. Friday morning we went up to the stables and got three horses ready for Jayden, Keyera, and me. There was Sunny that was the oldest horse, Jayden rode, Cowboy was the youngest horse that Keyera rode, and LOVELY LOVELY Icabod, the GIANT!!!!! that of course I rode.

This is me on the fence getting on, because he is so big!!!

I was afraid to put one of my girls on it, just because he was so BIG!!! We had an AWESOME ride, we were gone about an hour. It was so much fun. Well, as we are approaching the barn Jayden asked if she could run hers in, I said yes. It took some force to keep Icabod and Cowboy to NOT run as well. There are kinda like copy cats, what ever one does, the other does.

If you look really careful in the picture you can see me and Keyera barely coming up over the ridge. We got right on top and the horses see the barn and Sunny waiting for them, and they TAKE OFF!!!!! Keyera was a little frightened and was yelling at her horse to stop, then yelling at me that she lost her shoe. All along I am trying to tell her she is okay, don't be scared, just hold on!!! I am not quite sure what happened after that...... next thing I know I am thrown to the ground and closing my eyes afraid that the horse was going to run over me. I get up, wind of course knocked out of me. COVERED in dirt, bleeding ankle, and Icabod is standing there looking at me with that "What in the Heck are doing on the ground" look.

I grab both of my shoes that flew off my feet and the reins and walk the horse back to the barn.

Mom is laughing so hard she looks like she is going to die. Shauna is just trying to figure out what happened because she was helping Keyera get off her horse when the whole thing went down. I told her I wasn't sure what happened, but I thought that I peed a little. Shauna says, "A little..... I don't think so", I look down and it was if I had fallen into Niagara Falls!!!! OMH!!! Are you freakin kidding me!! When and how did that happen. I am not sure! Oh well, back to the house for a hot hot shower. I'm pretty sure I broke my back!! Haha, not really.

We did go on another ride the next morning and that went MUCH BETTER. Dry pants at the end. Whew!! We also went canoe-ing (spell?) at this amazing little pond on the property. So neat!!

It was a great weekend, we were so glad that we were able to go and have so much fun!! Thanks again Shauna and Brett for letting us barge right in!!

This weekend we were supposed to go out of town but our plans fell threw. We decided to make the best of it here.

(You will have to excuse the lack of pictures from Friday, I left my purse home with the camera inside....and NOBODY else knows how to bring theirs!!!

I'm not bitter at all though.)

Friday night we went for a 4 wheeling ride up the canyon, roasted hotdogs and marshmellows for dinner. Had the enjoyment of Mike teaching Jayden's "friend that is a boy" how to use only 1 square of toilet paper in the woods, and also listening to Jayden and Kaila scream like JASON was after them while peeing in the woods,

only to find out that it was some sweet little sheep with bells around their necks !!
Boy was it fun!!!!
They came back with wet spots all over the back of their pants!!
hahaha not really, but that would have been WAY funny huh???

We actually saw a BEAUTIFUL sunset while we were up there. For some reason sunsets are always the best when your sitting on top of the mountains with the one you love.........screeeeech, hold on, my WHOLE family was there, for a minute I was imagining that it was just Corey and me.

Saturday the boys left at 6am to go fishing ..... SILLY BOYS!!!!! No really, I do LOVE fishing, just not at 6 in the FREAKIN morning!!!
I watched the sun go down the night before....
I don't want to watch it come up!!

Then we had a BBQ and pool party. If any of you have ever had the opportunity to play water volleyball with the Waite's....you know we think we are AWESOME!! Also, you know that we are a little HEIGHT challenged.

Because of this, Jim designed this lovely pool that is shallow on both ends and deep in the middle.....he IS a thinker!!!

Really, he, Corey, Brandon, and Brady were all just sick of playing in the deep end of normal pools. Now this only solves the problem for those of us on the back line, thus the GLORIOUS invention of the NOODLES!! (Notice Dad has 2, haha)

Of course these noodles were not invented by us, or we would all be rich and live in mansions, and drive corvettes and hummers, and have beach houses, have maids and gardeners, and .................. oh sorry, where was I??

Back to the pool party,

Breckyn still needs to master his pants falling off under water when he cannon balls in!!!

Bee's Game on the 24th

We all went to the Bee's game on the 24th of July. It was so much fun, there is just something about a good ole' baseball game. We kinda did a little sneak a roo and sat on the front row instead of the nearly back row that our tickets said. Never got caught!!! I think we had the best seats ever on the 3rd base line!!!

Now we all know that a baseball game is just not the same without a few things. According to my Dad, they are a MUST!!! Let's review those things.......

We had a blast!!!!!

So, Dad was the first one out............it was his idea!!!! First he tried the 1 ski.....no luck, so we talked him into trying the wake board, telling him it is "much easier".

As he was putting his feet in the board, with his 18year old granddaughters help (thanks Lynds), he siad "I think this is the stupidest thing I have ever done". Yah, I don't think so Dad!!!

Jayden and her friend.....and I mean FRIEND... Nick got on the tube. Nick had never been on a boat in his life, let alone a tube. Now, those of you who have boated with Jim behind the wheel know this is a VERY dangerous activity. We did try to take it easy on him.

Cheer Camp Begins.......

8am Monday morning. Somehow I got roped into being one of the drivers to Cheer Camp.

16 girls that were screaming, cheering, singing, laughing, talking, texting, teasing, and playing games. Okay, I can deal, I'm sure I can !!!

I am the 2nd car load of girls in our caravan on the freeway. We are following some others in a BLUE van, and then are being followed by a Dad of one of the girls and the Cheer coach Cameron. (Now remember, I have NO IDEA where I am going!!) Suddenly there is 2 BLUE vans in front of me. IDENTICAL, I tell ya!!!! But you know how smart I am, so I was positive I was following the right one. I was joking with the girls about how funny it would be if we totally followed the wrong van and ended up somewhere crazy. We were all laughing and throwing out ideas as to where would follow the van to..... California, Mesquite, Las Vegas (that was of course my choice to end up), St George and so on.

Now I know you are all surprised, but, I made it!! I was following the RIGHT blue van. I did get a little confused on campus with all these little streets. I forgot to see the yield sign at one little street and was almost broadsided by the Campus Shuttle.

I am a good swerver though!!!

We waited out front for the coach Cameron...... not here................ still not here.............. nope............... maybe soon............. any minute now I am sure they will show up............. whew!! Here they come.

Where had they been????? Let me tell you!!

They had thought that I was going the wrong way and they were following the BLUE van. THE WRONG BLUE VAN!!!!

They were not aware of this until they followed the blue van into a Cemetery!! What were they thinking, maybe someone in the blue van was ditching a body at the cemetery, or they were grave robbers, or even worse.....

We could only imagine the people in the van wondering why these 2 creeper men in a truck packed with pink flowers and zebra printed bags in the back filled to the roof were following them!!! hahaha They are lucky ducks they didn't get the police called on them!!!

Finally we got them all settled in and I was off on my quiet journey home. I did take a few wrong turns and probably made some illegal U-Turns. But I swear I never saw a sign.

Boy, I can't wait to go back and get them all on Thursday!!!!

Blue Hair.....No Hair

A few months ago I bribed Breckyn that if he let me cut his hair I would let him dye his hair BLUE when school got out. He definitely did not forget my promise. So BLUE hair was inevitable.

Little did he realize that a week down the road it would need another hair cut and the blue would all be cut off. I know, I am sneaky huh?

For the 1st time ever, I put Corey in charge of the haircut. BIG mistake!!! It was turned into a hour of playing with mohawks, spikes, and whatever else they could do with his hair.

Now it was my turn!!!!! I know, it is a little bit short, but hey, its summertime and he's a sweaty little boy!!!

Where would we all be without our MOTHERS? I know mine is sure a huge part of my life. She is AMAZING.

We had a great dinner at my mom's, the boys were supposed to be in charge of...they did clean up, so that was nice!!

We had some lovely entertainment while we were there. To begin with, from as far back as I can remember we begged my Dad to put a gate in our backyard that led to the park. To our disappointment he wouldn't. So this is what we were left with.............

a crack!!!! A small 6 maybe 7 inch crack!!! We squoze, (is that a word or is it squeezed???) through it anytime we wanted to go to the park. This "CRACK" trick has been passed down to everyone of the grandkids.

This weekend we found out that the girls can still fit through that crack.

It may have meant a few bruised pelvic bones, and a little smashing like you were having a mammogram.........but it can be done!!!!!

oKaY - new subject.......These are called WIGGLE CARS......they are a BLAST!!! Has anyone rode them before??? Steph your boys will love them!!!

They have danced from the moment they could stand. Always twirling and jumping around. Today was no different.....

First we spent 5 hours at a dance competition for Keyera. Yes, I said 5 hours!!! I know, cRaZy huh?? But, that is what you do for the love of dance!!! I will admit, I am totally addicted. It is all my fault, it is in those two little girls blood. I am to blame!! I could sit at competitions all day every day, my husband on the other hand.....lets just say, I usually have to wake him up with a little nudge, "Honey, she's on, it's her turn".

We then came home and it was hard at work making Jayden into a DANCING princess for the PROM!!! "This takes time" are the words she told me when I was reassuring her that we would get her home in plenty of time from the competition to get ready. This is the hard work in progress.......

At last.....FINISHED!!!

The lovely shoes!!! I tried my hardest to buy her some beautiful shoes that were so princess-y and I was shot down numerous times. This is was she chose!!! Her Grandpa thought that they were great, the little smirk on his face showed that he was proud of her!! WHATEVER!!!

The little princess (aka Keyera) is safe in her zebra and hot pink bed all snuggly and warm. And YES I am dying for the clock to strike midnight when Cinderella (aka Jayden) must be home.

My sister Stephanie came in from Florida for just the day. So we thought we better make a shopping day out of it. Of course, we can’t shop well without food, so this was our first stop.

Can you believe those stacks of potatoes?? And oh were the fries good.

This was the BEST hamburger that I have had in a very long time!!!!!

We were off to a fun day of shopping. Oh how we love to spend time with Steph. The time goes way too fast!! We sure miss her. Thanks for the day though, we'll take what we can get!!!

We did it!!

Going along with the whole HOT theme and MATCH...... and a HUGE thanks to my awesome sister Steph, this is what we did.

We filled a jar full of HOT TAMALES (about 400) and BLACK JELLY BEANS (400 also) and sent this cute little poem. We also burned all the edges of the poem.

So the catch was there were EXACTLY the same amount. This was delivered last night.

Then tonight, we had my cousin Troy help us deliver the last little gift which was a mini fire truck with a box of HOT TAMALES on the top....

We pulled up to his house and kicked on all the lights. Troy went to the door and told him that he heard that Zach had been playing with matches and didn't he know that wasn't very safe.

Then gave him the little fire truck and candy. He said the boy was in complete shock!!! haha, this whole time we are laughing our butts off in the fire truck!!!

Of course on the way home Jayden had to horse around a little!!!

P.S. Jayden was too embarrassed to ride in the front seat, so Breckyn got to ride in front the whole way there and back. He was in HEAVEN to say the least!!!!

WHATTTTT the crap?? Oh, just come along for the story with me...............

The day she turns 16 there is this cute little bag on the front porch.

Jayden begins to open it.......

We then realize that this is no ordinary birthday present...this is someone asking her to PROM!!! Did you hear me??? I said PROM!!!!

There was a box of like 300 matches inside. We were to search the matches for a hidden message.

WOW!!! I can not believe that Jayden is 16 today. That makes me feel so old.....but I 'm not.......REALLY!!!!

I am so proud to be Jayden's mom. She is the most amazing person ever!! She has a huge heart and has such an awesome spirit.

From the day she was born she has had me wrapped around her finger......I think she has had everyone she met wrapped around her finger. Her daddy, her grandpa's, grandma's, everyone. She has always been the child that I was not sure what I did to deserve.

I was not the best kid around......I know BIG

surprise..... so I always thought that she would be as big of a trial as I was to my parents. Not so!! Although I did deserved it, I was given this little angel that has her head on better than I ever did at her age. Most of the time she is smarter and wiser that me!!! I know, not hard to do....

Her huge blue eyes and her adorable smile have always been what makes me smile every morning. The way she says "I lof you mommy" makes me melt. (okay, okay, so she doesn't say that anymore, but I have it on video and I watch it all the time :) just to remind me that she still does.)

I am so proud of her for the things that she has accomplished already in her short little life. She knows what she wants in life and she will fight for it. She has such a strong testimony, it really is amazing to me.

She is such a wonderful help to me around the house and with the other kids. I would be so lost without her. Her little sister wants nothing more in life than to be just like her one day!!! Well, really everyday. She wants to be just like Jayden.

It seems like yesterday I was changing dirty diapers, searching for her binky in the night, making her bottles, and potty training her. (oh boy was that a trial.....she didn't want to poop in the potty, she wanted to do it every morning in the tubbies........ that was FUN!!!!)

Now it is cheerleading, boys, cars, jobs.........and AAAAAHHHHHH.... she wants me to go look at prom dresses!!!! What is this world coming to? I am not ready for this!!!

I love you so much Jayden.....you truly are one of my best friends. (but still your mom first!!! don't get any ideas!!) Never, ever, ever, doubt how much you mean to me. Happy Birthday little princess!!!!

Doorbell Ditchers

On Friday night it was about 11:00pm and Jayden and I were sitting at the computer in the front room. We heard the screen door open and were a little startled, we waited.....nothing.........then the doorbell rang. Jayden asked if she should open it and I told her to go ahead it was probably the doorbell ditchers that have been loving our house the last few weeks. She opened the door and there was nobody there.

As she was shutting the door she saw a purple envelope taped to the door with her name on the front.

She opened the letter and before she could read it 5 $100 bills fell out!!!! She instantly started to cry.

WOW!!!!! She was dying and so excited all at the same time.

Breckyn was baptised today. It was such a wonderful day. He was such a handsome little guy, and we are so proud of him. It was really weird knowing that he is our last child to be baptised. We will never do this again. It is so neat to experience things with him this way, they always seem a little more special knowing that it is our last.

I love the completely SHOCKED look on their little faces when they are brought up out of the water. Jayden gave a talk, and she did a super job on it. Thanks to all of those that came out and supported us. We truly appreciate it. And to those that couldn't make it.....we sure missed you!!!!

A BIG THANKS to Aunt Stephy who made him this adorable towel. It was great, he LOVES it.

His day was perfect!!!!

Breckyn HATES HATES HATES to have his hair cut. I am not so sure why, but he does. Most people pay to have their hair cut, not Breckyn, I have to pay him to let me cut his hair!!! Usually a dollor or two satisfies him.

He is getting baptised soon , so I told him that we needed to do the ALMIGHTY BUZZ!!! He was not thrilled. I washed his hair in the sink and then blow dried it. I thought if I made it look completely out of control he would agree to the haircut.

Now, remember, I would NEVER let my son out of the house looking like this!! I am a little frightened that I am posting the picture!!!

He was still not too happy about the hair trim-a-roo..... but he sure looks like a little stud now!!!!

Arizona Sun Anyone???

So I have promised this post for a while now, so here goes.......

My wonderful Grandma and her siblings bought these cute little homes in Quartzsite, AZ quite a few years ago and used to spend their winters there. You know, something about being a SNOWBIRDS HAVEN.

For those of you who have not been there, it is this small little town of about 1900 people. All of which are probably on the "Senior Citizen" list. (Sorry Grandma......I do love you!! hehehe)

We used to take an ANNUAL GIRLS TRIP to see her and spend some fun time with a bunch of cousins and aunts and uncles. (occasionally turned into boys coming too)

So what is in Quartzsite? If you pass through Quartzite in summer, the answer to this question is, “absolutely NOTHING.” You will see flat desert, some roadside businesses, tumbleweeds and that’s about it. But in the winter???? Whoa..... RVs by the HUNDREDS camped in pretty primitive desert conditions.

My first trip there was with my Mom and sisters (all of them, from Phoenix, Washington, Florida.....and the two from Utah, my dad and brother came along on this trip as well). We woke up one morning and were ready for an OUTING.

There had to be somewhere in this town to shop, have fun, or do something. Grandma was the first to say "Oh, we will go to the BOOKSTORE." I thought, well, okay............I guess we can make that interesting. If a BOOKSTORE is all that you have. (picture me with a VERY unsure look on my face)

Now this is what most of us picture as a bookstore:

It was raining out, and what you can't see in this picture was that there was really no roof on this place. As we walked in the book racks were covered in plastic to keep them dry and there were all these little contraptions and buckets around to catch the dripping water. Now I am really thinking that Grandma is going a little CoO KoO!~!~!~! As I am wandering around with my sisters looking at books galor, I round a rack to walk into this....................................

HELLO Paul, the owner of Reader's Oasis bookstore.

He was wearing a green fleece jacket, a cowboy hat, some flip flops, and YES a small bag which contained his family jewels. I DIED!!!!! WHAT THE HECK !!! I quickly told my sisters that we had to get a photo of this. I gave the camera to Andrea and told her while I pretended to ask for assistance to snap a photo of us......I know kinda James Bond-ish huh? Well he looked at me and said "I do photos!!!" I was caught!! So we gathered the few that were willing to stand next to him and still keep their coloring in their face from going a BRIGHT RED, and snapped this shot. (Notice there aren't many of us with the nerve) You'll have to forgive me for the bit of a blur on the pictures, I am not sure if it was because of the rain or if it was the shaking of the camera from Andrea laughing so hard!!!

Can I just say one more time..........ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME?!?!?!?!

Good ole Paul has has been busy selling books for the past seventeen years here …........ with no pants on!! Might I add that he rides his bike around town where ever he may need to go like this as well!! OUCH!!!

Needless to say, we no longer ask Grandma where to go shopping!!!!! And I clearly will never look at a BOOKSTORE the same ever again.

But if you are ever passing through Quartzsite, you must stop at the READERS OASIS BOOKSTORE and experience this for yourself!!!!! You haven't seen it all until you have met Paul!!!

It is unbelievable sometimes to me when I look at a few pictures of some CrAzY little toddlers, and then realize the AMAZING and wonderful things that come from them.

All the smiles, the laughs, the memories, the pure and unconditional love, and yes even the tears that we have created. We are so blessed to have such an awesome love between the two of us. I can't even describe the happiness I feel when I look at what I have in life and the love that I feel for each and every one of them.

Wow!!! I can't believe that my baby is 8

I must admit I was a little nervous about having a boy after 2 girls. I knew what to do with girls. I knew how to braid their hair, buy frilly cute dresses, glue bows to their heads, teach them how to dance and shop, all that hoop-la. But BOYS!!!! I knew nothing about circumcisions.......aaaaaahhhhhhhh, them peeing all over me or in his ear every time I took a diaper off, trucks and cars being driven all over my walls, dirt and mud, stinky sweaty boys, I knew NOTHING!!!

But here I am 8 years later and completely in love with that little boy. He is such a sweet and fun little guy. I never thought that I could be so in love with something so small as him (all 4lbs 4oz of him at birth). When he was little and we would tease him or pick on him he would say to us "hey, I'm just a little guy" in his cute little voice. That has stuck with him. He is MY little guy.

That little guy loves to cuddle with me like no other. He has the softest heart yet is the toughest little thing.

I am so proud to be his mommy. And oh how I love the basketball games, the wrestling around, the sound effects that he can make while playing motorcycles and trucks, the way he lights up when he sees a deer in the mountains and wants to shoot it, and of course.......the wonderful invention of a BASEBALL CAP. I even enjoy a little bit the aurguing over if he has to get in the bath every day. It is a little nice after fighting with my girls to get out of the tub that they have been in twice that day and for 1 hour each time.

I wouldn't trade my boy for nothing.......now I'm not so sure that I would want another one, but I wouldn't trade the one I have!!!

We take each one of kids out on what they call a "DATE" with just mom and dad and them. This year Breckyn wanted to go to breakfast and said all he wanted was a HUGE cinnamon roll. This is what he got.........

When they set it on the table he said, "Wow, this is huge-er (not a word, I know) than a cow pie". We died laughing. How funny the things that kids associate other things with.

We love you Breckyn!!! Happy Birthday little guy!!!

Waite Family Christmas Party......A Christmas Chicken is born

We had our BIG "Waite Family" party. It was so much fun. That day ended up being a HUGE snow storm which made it so some of the family couldn't make the drive. We were so sad that everyone was not there. But were so happy to see all that were there.

My Mom and Dad had planned this fun game to play with the "White Elephants" that we bring every year to the parties. The game was a sort of LETS MAKE A DEAL. Dad as the host of the show, thought he was the next BOB BARKER!!! Heaven help us all!!

He would give you a gift, then your choices of what he was offering you or box 1, 2, or 3. Some gifts were fun, others, not so much. Mostly because Mom had cleaned out all her Christmas boxes this year and decided to get rid of decorations that I think she has had for 43 years!!! She tried to pass them off on me, to no avail!! So they became some of the BOOBIE prizes.

As Bob (aka DAD) is describing the items (the way Bob Barker used to do), He pulls out this what we all know as a SNOWMAN and says,

"NOW HERE WE HAVE A NICE CHRISTMAS CHICKEN"!!!

?????? Uh, HELLO!!!! Do chickens have CARROTS for a nose???? And wear hats!!!! I don't think so.

You'll have to excuse him folks........ I think he TOTALLY just had a SENIOR moment!!!

Cole was not interested in any Christmas Chicken, he chose a different box. But, later on in the "Waite Family Let's Make a Deal" hour, Lyndsey chose box #3 and was cheerfully awarded the

"CHRISTMAS CHICKEN"

I am afraid this Christmas Chicken will FOREVER be a part of the Waite Family White Elephant gifts to be passed around for many generations to come. The whole room was in hysteria laughing at good old Bob Barker!!!

Hence, the story of the CHRISTMAS CHICKEN!!!!

Christmas was AMAZING. The kids seemed to get all that they wanted.......not too much, but enough to be content. Corey and I also got all we wanted........to see the smiles on each one of our children's faces with every present opened. That joy and excitement can never compare to ANYTHING. Oh, the pure innocence of a child. Wish it would stay FOREVER!!!!!

Going to sleep. Every Christmas Eve all three of our kids sleep in the same room together. Sometimes the room is different, but they are always together. I think even Jayden secretly likes that little tradition. As Breckyn and Keyera were kicking each other and bickering a little I heard Jayden say "Breckyn come sleep with me", I peeked in a while later and they were all snuggled up together. SWEET!!!!!

Jayden wanted the movies STEP UP and

STEP UP 2............yay!!! She got them both!!

Keyera asked for the books INKSPELL and INKDEATH...........she has already read the 1st book that is called INKHEART. They are all like over 600 pages each. She is such a good reader.

It is that time again to make the Christmas Candy. My Mom, Michelle my sister, and I usually get all together and have one big candy night.

I know your thinking the picture above.... "What does this have to do with candy making.........well, this is Breckyn at Sam's Club while we were getting some of the ingredients that we needed to make the candy. He wanted to go home and was sick of shopping with me!! He is a trooper. So he just kicked back on the display of DIAPERS and waited patiently for me.

Now, I am no BETTY CROCKER, I do get a little stressed in the kitchen and I do HATE a mess in the kitchen as well. But I think I did pretty good. Only a few freak out moments, when the Church Windows were ready and I didn't know what to do with them, and they were starting to get hard, and there were WAY to many people in the kitchen area, and no one had ripped the wax paper up, when I rolled them up they squished out the ends, Jayden and Lyndsey were laughing, and Mom was burning the pizza in the oven becuase she left the cardboard on the bottom so the crust didn't get to hard, smoke is everywhere...........other than that, whew........it was GREAT!!!!!!

This year Jayden and Lyndsey did a good job helping us with whatever we needed them to do..............yes.....without complaining. Well, mostly!!!

Okay, they seriously do need help.................they were away from their Mental Hospital a little too late at night!!! We try to keep them on their meds...........but, you know teenagers........they have a mind of their own!! They are now on "Suicide Watch" after strapping Celaphane to their faces. hahaha not really.

This was Dad's contribution to the candy making. Eating pizza, oh and sneaking all the candy that he could from us when we weren't looking!!!

I was trying to get the PERFECT shot of Michelle. She wasn't to excited about the whole photo shoot with candy in her hands, but this is what I got.........I think I did a MIGHTY fine job!!!!!!

She didn't think I was too funny...........I don't see what the problem was??????

Jim and Corey did accept our lovely invitation to help us make candy as well. They did a great job stirring when needed, pouring, and cutting. (haha Jim and his "Thin Mint Cutting Stick" that he made out in the wood shop......hahahaha) But really, they were a GREAT help to us. They just happened to be over on the couch watching the JAZZ game when the pictures were being taken. They also helped themselves to a few of the homemade carmels and snickers.

Oh the fun we have together!!! I really do have a wonderful family and am so grateful for all of them. They are the best and I would be so lost without each one of them. My homemade candy might taste a little better..........but I would be lost!!!!!

While we were in St George we went to Sand Hollow 4 wheeling. Some were a little reluctant to go, some couldn't go, some were ECSTATIC to go. In the end......... It was awesome!!!! Here are a few pictures of the trip, although nobody got the most amazing shot of Jayden. She apparently went off a jump and did what she calls "the superman" in the air before landing it.

She said her feet were flying above her head. She was very lucky that she had her helmet on, her face did hit the handlebars. She was completely fine..,.....well other than her body was a little sore the next day.

My sister Michelle bought this book on one of our shopping sprees. We sat in the store while she read it to my Grandma, me, and my Mom, and we LAUGHED so HARD!!!! That night Michelle read it to the kids and even JAYDEN was completely into the book. They all laughed their guts out, mostly Cole. Cute little Kate in red, was so into looking at the pictures, and I'm not sure she got all the funny-ness of the book, but every time the other kids would all laugh she would look at them with her finger to her lips and SSSSHHHHH them. She is such a doll!!! If you have the chance you really should buy one and read it to anyone you want to make laugh!!! I quickly got online and bought my own.

We ventured out at 3:30am this year. That was an "all time early" for us. This was also the first time that we have shopped the day after Thanksgiving in St George. We headed to Kohls first. It was crazy!!! I couldn't believe how many stores had hired out security. I guess it is a DANGEROUS sport though. haha. Anyways we had it all planned.......Kohls opened at 4am, Walmart at 5am, and Target at 6am. We were very speedy in all the stores. We even had a little time to stop by the outlet mall that had actually opened at 11pm the night before. Jayden and Lyndsey encountered a little bit of the wildness at Walmart when some people tore into the $4.00 pajamas before it was time and the whole crowd started grabbing.

Yes sir re bob, they did get the pj's they were after!!!

We always have to go to breakfast...................it's tradition. (that is what we had to keep telling my mom, she wasn't thrilled about getting up at 3:15AM) This is us at a lovely restaurant called "THE EGG AND I" We were starving (sorry Michelle), I mean FAMISHED!!! She tells us that we REALLY don't know the meaning of STARVING!! The pancakes were HUGE!!!

As you can imagine and if any of you have seen me when I'm tired, things get a little cRaZy when we have a lack of sleep. I was the designated driver as well and I think my mom peed her pants a little a few times!!!

We went home, took a little breather.............then back out AGAIN!!! We found some good buys and some KILLER buys, like my Kung Fu Panda DVD for $6.98!! Thanks Cho!!!

(as it turned out..... she was going to kill me!! Actually threatened me with my life... so I left her eye on her and cropped out the rest!!!! )
I am pretty sure that Michelle is going to KILL me for posting this one, but I thought it was a great "AFTER THE SHOPPING, NO SLEEP" photo. So we went to St. George for Thanksgiving this year. It was so much fun. There will have to be multiple posts to tell everything, so watch for more.........

It would never be Thanksgiving without my mom's HOMEMADE rolls and her pumpkin pie!! They are to DIE for. Seriously!!!

Every year it is a tradition that we go around the table and everyone tells what they are grateful for this year. There are a few rules, you can't go out of turn and you can't say the same thing as anyone else. So the last person gets it rough. This year we had 23 people sitting at the table. Jayden was last.

I don't know if any of you have seen the "Tyson Chicken" commercial, but....... she stood up on her chair and said "I'd like to thank Grandma for making our lovely dinner, I'm thankful for my family, and especially all of my talents!!!" It was hilarious!!!! She thought so too!!!

I'm sure we are not the only family that has their "after turkey naps". We just have alot of fun when we do. Poor Corey!!! He always gets the bad end of it all. He tends to sleep with his mouth open and it is just SCREAMING for us to play jokes on him. This has gone on for a few years now, you would think he would learn his lesson. He usually wakes up to a chip in his mouth wondering how it got there, well okay he doesn't wonder anymore, he knows it is me and Mike. We laugh so hard, and think we are so funny, we haven't convinced Corey that we are yet.

Another tradition is that we always go BOWLING on Thanksgiving. We had a hard time deciding whether or not to go this year, but we did, and we had a BLAST!!!

Today I am especially thankful for all of my family and for my friends. They are the best and my life wouldn't be complete without every single one of them.

The food is the BOMB!!!! Thanks Mom, Michelle, Cherelle, Grandma Great, Aunt Maurine, Angela, I say we make a MIGHTY fine dinner!!!!

Now, I am off to look at all the wonderful ads to decide where we will start out our shopping in the morning. BLACK FRIDAY is the BEST!!!!! Oh how I love to shop on that day, well, everyday, but this day especially!!!

I know I still haven't finished posting my pictures from my Kitchen, but I am having a heck of a time getting the lady that is doing my vinyl to actually DO MY VINYL!!!!! I am a little PEEVED!!

Keyera has been begging us to let her move her bedroom downstairs, we figured her birthday was the best time to do that. We bought her a new bed set, did a little cleaning, a little painting, and ALOT of decorating, and she was down.

It has been the best thing I have ever done. She was like the "Night Patrol" upstairs next to our room. She would freak out if we closed our door while she was still awake, pounding on it asking when will we open it, what are we doing, how much longer...........I could've shot the kid I tell ya!!! Our nights have been so PEACEFUL and wonderful without any interruptions!!!

(If ya know what I mean, hehehe.)

This doll house was the MAJOR deal of the month. We were driving home from my moms one Saturday afternoon and this was sitting in someones front yard with a FREE sign on it. Keyera starting screaming at me to stop the car. I had no idea what was the problem and before I knew it she hopped out of the truck and was dying over the pile of wood. It was all white and needed a little makeover. So we threw it in the back of the truck and took it home. Well it was not really THROWN in, it weighs about 748 pounds I think!!! I painted it PINK of course, put in a bit of carpet and linoleum and it was set. She loves it!!!

This is her "SLUG BUG" collection. She is a little obsessed. Well. actually I think all of the girls in our family are, we all dream of a CONVERTIBLE BUG!!! Anyways, she has around 50 of them. We always bring her them home from any trip we go on, or anywhere we see them. She was very excited to actually have a shelf to put them all on.

I am done painting for quite some time!!! I always hate the mess of it all, it sure is fun after, but, I'm good for another 2 years!!!!!

WOW!!!! I can not believe that Keyera is 10!!

She is growing up so fast. She is a HUGE blessing in our lives and in our home.

Walking around the city!!

When I got to work Thursday morning this is what was on the side of our building. They were so beautiful!! The buck was AMAZING, he was missing one side of his antlers, but the one he had was a good size. He was a good 3, maybe four point. Oh I would have shot him in the woods!!!

I was at our window taking these and the buck walked right up to the window. Deer are "in the rut" right now, which means the girl deer can get pregnant, so like any male, the boy deer are all over the females!! I think he thought I was hot!!! haha. He was really chasing one of the does around trying to GET HER!!

I decided to go out in the parking lot and try to get some better pictures. Now, I have seen all those videos of people trying to get close to deer and totally getting ATTACKED. So I was a little eerie. I hid behind my truck out there, I guess I thought that would camouflage me in my HOT PINK shirt!! I was safe though, no attacks, although, that would have probably been better footage than these pictures, a little more entertaining anyways!!

There were about 8 deer in total, 7 does and 1 buck........go FIGURE!!

We bought our house 2 years and 5 months ago!! The kitchen was BABY BLUE!! I am not sure why. Oh well, I hated it if you can't tell. I have sworn that I was going to repaint it since the first night in our house. I didn't hang anything on the walls, didn't decorate it at all. Over the almost 2 1/2 years I have aquired many things though, in hopes of putting them in my kitchen, when I ever painted it!! I swore I would do it this last summer, NOPE didn't do it.

Finally, this last weekend I was fed up with it and went and bought the paint, and YES painted it!!! I love it!!! It is a VERY huge change from the BABY BLUE. Stay posted for the before and after pictures. I have one more thing to do before I want to post the pictures. SOON though, I promise, no 2 1/2 years or anything!! haha
